(ENJOY) SIPS AT
HOUSE OF SCULPT
We’re going to preface this intro by saying - you’ve probably heard it all before: ‘This partnership is a match made in heaven’, ‘name a better duo’, ‘collab goals’ etc. Well, we’re not going to lie, this is very much one of those times where we feel like we should say one of those things.
Created by Nicole & Sascha, HOUSE OF SCULPT aims to shift the narrative in the fitness industry; one banging-pilates-class-and-beverage-pairing at a time. What we love about Nicole and Sascha is that they keep it real and relatable - who says you can’t have wine when you’re on a ‘health kick’? We should know by now that as women, we can have it all!
So that’s why ‘this partnership is a match made in heaven’: We’ve brought HOUSE OF SCULPT and SIP’ER together to bring you Australia’s first (!!!) online pilates and wine subscription: ‘SCULPT & SIP’ - where each month, you’ll get unlimited access to over 120 pilates classes and receive two bottles of delicious her-led, boutique wines delivered directly to your door. To be enjoyed in tandem, of course.
“Happiness isn’t on the other side of a perfect body. It’s on the other side of feeling confident, vibrant and grateful in the body you’ve already got.”
SIP’ER: How did you start HOUSE OF SCULPT?
NICOLE & SASCHA: We met up for our regular pre-Pilates coffee and we got talking about our ick with the fitness industry and how we just wanted to do Pilates without the BS. The BS being the ‘slim down here, don’t eat this, burn off last night's meal’ that seems to hang around the fitness industry like a bad smell. That coffee ended with a solution to said problem, HOUSE OF SCULPT.
SIP’ER: We love and feel that! So what’s been the highlight of your HOUSE OF SCULPT journey so far?
NICOLE & SASCHA: Being asked to speak at the 2022 TEDx event was big! On top of this, seeing the transformative effects our practice has on our clients over and over again – there really is nothing quite like it.
SIP’ER: Can you pair a wine or bev with this moment or feeling?
NICOLE & SASCHA: For the TEDx moment, a triple tequila shot and then some…and for the committed clients, a glass of the Reed Alexia Grenache - it feels like a hug from a good friend!
SIP’ER: What do you think is the hardest part of your job that people may not know about?
NICOLE & SASCHA: Anyone in small business will be nodding along when we say having to wear all the hats. Trying to be everyone and everything at the same time takes its toll. We are the Co-founders, Directors, Pilates instructors, video editors, social media managers, head of marketing, Tik Tok strategists, EDM specialists, content creators, class planners, administrative coordinators, art directors, therapists and accountants…
SIP’ER: [laughs] We honestly know that all too well - you should chuck all of that on your CV or LinkedIn. What do you feel like drinking after a day of wearing all the hats?
NICOLE & SASCHA: The Taylor & Smith Dirty Martini bottled cocktail.
SIP’ER: Fab choice, couldn’t have picked it better ourselves.
SIP’ER: How do you find the right balance between indulgence and having a solid routine? Or, is indulgence part of having a routine?!
NICOLE & SASCHA: As my Ballet teacher once said, life is not worth living if we can’t celebrate with Champagne. The scales will always tip but that is life – dancing between the two and finding the joy in the good, the bad and the down right reckless.
For us, balance is learning to be ok with the natural ebb and flow of life. You weren’t put on the planet to be in constant battle with yourself, so go on, live a little.
SIP’ER: Sounds like we’d absolutely get along with your ballet teacher. What do you want people to take away from the experience after doing a HOUSE OF SCULPT class?
NICOLE & SASCHA: A reminder that it’s in the hard things, the challenges, the moments during that bloody side plank where you really want to give up, that progress and change happens.
And remembering that happiness isn’t on the other side of a perfect body. It’s on the other side of feeling confident, vibrant and grateful in the body you’ve already got.
SIP’ER: What’s one sip you’ve tried recently that has pleasantly surprised you?
NICOLE: Saint & Sinner alcoholic Kombucha… I picked purely because of the name and I was not let down.
SASCHA: I never used to be a pet nat girl…I always felt that it was ‘kombucha wine’. But after trying the Borachio Pash Rash Pet Nat 2022, I am fully converted.
SIP’ER: If you had to match one of your classes & one of our sips with your personalities, which would it be and why?
NICOLE: Our ‘Form & Fun’ class with a glass of the MOON Chardonnay.
I’m a woman of regime but also leisure.. I’m a spiritual girly but also a little rough around the edges.
SASCHA: Skin-contact orange wines, ab-focused movement, and mountains of cheese is my thing – so it’ll have to be the Genie Skinsy Chardonnay and one of our member fave classes: ‘CORE CAVIAR’.
