This was described as a perfect steak wine but a little edgier. Our vote however, would be to open this one, toast to Tikka (the winery cat it is named after) and pair it with a big juicy burger... dream combo. It is a slightly heavier red (hence the burger!) but more medium-heavy than a straight up big ol’ Shiraz. There’s also a tiny bit of fizz on opening… a bit of the Tikka magic maybe? (It’s meant to happen, don’t panic but also get your glass at the ready, it’s too good to waste a drop).

Sophie and James both run the Jauma Farm: Home to certified organic cherries, grapes, pears and apples. They not only make (incredibly tasty) natural wine with no added preservatives, they also grow veggies (wholesome), produce cider and make vinegar (seriously, can you get any more wholesome?!). James is the winemaker and Sophie makes sure the business cogs continue to turn, all while taking care of their three children while James is away in trade.
