On first glance you may think this wine skews on the heavier side, but once you start sipping its all smooth turkish delight and rose petals. And honestly it got us a little excited (no, not like that but also like that… date night wine anyone)? It’s a blend of familiar varietals but in an unfamiliar and delicious way. Super smooth and fresh when chilled down.

For a label that has the word ‘Lunatics’ in it, Jackie & Elliott are ironically very laid back and non-lunatic-like about their winemaking approach. Essentially their philosophy is to do “sweet-fuck-all and hope that the wines are full of energy, freshness and flavour” - a real ‘salt of the earth’ game plan that 100% pays off. Based on a small farm in the town of Manildra in NSW, their wines are the perfect balance of minimalist and fun (bottle labels included), or as they say, all about “minimum fuckery and maximum love”. AMEN.
